💔 Holiday Nightmare: Young Woman Faces £10,000 Bill After Breaking Her Back in Prague

Imagine going on a fun city break to Prague, only for your holiday to take a terrifying turn. That’s what happened to Chloe Barker, 22, from Halifax. After being accidentally knocked off a bar stool by a stranger, she suffered a severe spinal injury. Now, Chloe is stuck in a Prague hospital and facing a whopping £10,000 bill to get back home.
She had insurance, but it doesn’t cover medical repatriation. Because of her injury, Chloe can’t take a regular flight back. She needs either a specialist air ambulance or a long road trip across Europe – both costing thousands.

Her friend, Sophia Andrews, has set up a fundraiser to help with costs. “She’d only been in Prague a day,” Sophia shared. “One minute she was enjoying herself, and the next, life turned upside down. It’s heartbreaking.”
Chloe has already undergone spinal surgery once and might need another. Though the hospital staff are doing their best, the language barrier and limited visiting hours leave her feeling isolated.
The medical repatriation itself could take about seven days, depending on her recovery. But figuring out how to get her safely home is still a huge challenge.
If you want to help Chloe get back on her feet – literally and figuratively – consider donating to her GoFundMe. Every little helps, and Chloe could use all the support she can get right now. Stay strong, Chloe! 🌟
