Attention, Cardiff drivers! Maes-Y-Coed Road in Heath faced a major hiccup recently when a ‘dip’ in the road brought traffic to a standstill. 🛑 Initially feared to be a sinkhole, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water has confirmed that the road trouble was due to a failure in past repairs by another utility.
This unexpected closure threw a spanner in the works for many as traffic piled up, with severe delays on the A469 Caerphilly Road. 😣
After a thorough check, it turns out the wastewater network wasn’t to blame. Phew! All pipes were found intact. 🚰 Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water has now completed their bit and the road is back open as of Wednesday afternoon.
