Tragedy struck in Leaden Roding, Essex, where 19-year-old Jamie-Lea Biscoe lost her life in a heartbreaking dog attack at home. Sadly, an inquest revealed that Jamie-Lea sustained severe neck injuries on 10th April. She was discovered by her father in an upstairs bedroom, with suspicions pointing towards one of the family’s dogs as the cause of the injuries.

Essex Police arrived at the scene on the night of the incident, and Jamie-Lea was pronounced dead shortly after. A 37-year-old man from Dunmow has been arrested and bailed, suspected of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control. Meanwhile, the family pet, believed to be a lurcher cross, has been seized by police for breed testing.

The senior coroner of Essex, Lincoln Brookes, has suspended inquest proceedings to allow a criminal investigation to continue and extended heartfelt condolences to Jamie-Lea’s family and friends during this tragic time.
