🌟 Remembering Joan Branson 🌟

In a tragic turn of events, Joan Branson, the beloved wife of Sir Richard Branson, passed away last November at the age of 80. Joan succumbed to a blood clot following complications from a fall, as recently revealed in a pre-inquest hearing.
A doting wife, mother, and grandmother, Joan was cherished by her family, including her daughter Holly, who expressed gratitude for the extra time they had with her thanks to the efforts of dedicated doctors over the years. Holly shared, “The care Mum received was outstanding, and we’re hopeful that any lessons learned from her passing can aid other families.”

The upcoming inquest will examine whether preventive measures, such as the administration of blood thinners or the use of anti-clot stockings, might have altered the outcome. Expertise from a haematologist is expected to shed light on whether these measures could have averted such a tragedy, given Joan’s history of blood clots.
Sir Richard shared heartfelt memories of his wife, paying tribute to their beautiful journey together. He recalls Joan’s radiant smile and spirit, qualities that brought immense joy to their family. Joan, who met Richard in 1976, played an integral role in his life and career. Despite initial hurdles, like Joan being married when they first met, their love endured and flourished over the decades.
Reflecting on their time, Sir Richard fondly remembers their vibrant life and shared commitments, stating, “Joan was the most wonderful partner, friend, mum, and grandmother we could ever have wished for. We’re holding on to all the beautiful memories she gave us.”
Joan’s loss is deeply felt, but her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her. 💔✨
Our hearts go out to the Branson family during this time. We hope the inquest will provide clarity and help prevent similar tragedies in the future. 🕊️
