Tragedy struck as 20-year-old Connor Ockerby lost his life in a car crash during the early hours after a night out with friends. Described as “a lovely boy,” Connor’s passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family and numerous friends.
The heartbreaking incident happened on the A4055 between Barry and Dinas Powys. As shared in the inquest, Connor wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, and his blood alcohol level likely contributed to the crash. He tragically veered off towards a right turn, hitting the kerb and causing the car to flip, leading to fatal head injuries.
His family shared their grief, remembering Connor as a much-loved son, brother, boyfriend, and friend. “We are absolutely devastated to lose our beautiful boy. It is something we will never get over, and his death has left a huge void in all of our lives and those of his many friends.”
