Tragic news from Cardiff: Colm Boston, a beloved father, son, and friend to many, sadly passed away from injuries sustained after an alleged street attack in the Cathays area. The heartbreaking incident took place on 22 December, and despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Colm died in hospital on Boxing Day.

Described by his family as someone who “lived a complex life but loved fiercely,” his loss has profoundly impacted everyone who knew him. They deeply appreciated the compassion and professionalism of the doctors and nurses at University Hospital of Wales, who cared for Colm and supported his family in their time of need.

Four individuals have been arrested in connection with this tragic event and are currently on bail while further investigations continue. The police are actively seeking any CCTV or dash-cam footage from the Cathays area, specifically around Pentyrch Street, on the evening of the alleged assault.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to Colm’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Let’s come together as a community to support one another and help bring justice for Colm. If you have any information or footage that could assist the investigation, please reach out to the authorities.
It’s crucial that we remember and honor those we lose, shining a light on their lives and ensuring no one is forgotten. Rest in peace, Colm.
