🌨️ The ‘Pembrokeshire Dangler’ Returns! 🌨️

Last week, parts of Wales looked like a winter wonderland with snow aplenty, thanks to the quirky weather pattern known as the Pembrokeshire Dangler. As we near December, the big question everyone is asking: “Will it snow again?”

Here’s the scoop: This northern wind phenomenon funnels in showers through the Irish Sea, touching down on Pembrokeshire, and sometimes stretching its icy fingers to Cornwall and Devon. It certainly made its presence felt last Thursday, when snow meant snowmen and sledging fun for many!
Fast forward to this week, and the Dangler is back on the radar. But hold your snowflakes, because milder temperatures may swap snow for rain instead. 🌧️
Met Office’s Alex Deakin gives us a heads-up that December is shaping up to be a “milder and wetter” month across the UK. So, keep those sledges on standby, as snowy days might not be on the cards just yet.
☀️ Today’s Weather from the Met Office: Starting off dry and crisp, but don’t let that fool you. The west will see rain move in by late morning, becoming wetter and breezier as the day rolls on. It’s going to feel quite chilly, with the south and west possibly warming up later. Max temp: 8°C.
🌧️ As for tonight: Expect a wet evening turning drier overnight, though drizzly conditions might make an appearance. Things could get murky over higher ground with southwesterly winds picking up. Temps will rise, so you might wake up to a surprisingly mild morning. Min temp: 7°C.
Looking ahead to the weekend, brace for longer spells of rain and windy patches. With the chill setting back in, keep your raincoats and wellies ready! ☔️💨
Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed for a snowy surprise, but for now, prepare for those rainy days!
Stay cosy, Wales! 🧣❤️
