š Can You Believe It? Shocking Pick and Mix Prices at the Shopping Centre! š

So, picture this: My niece and nephew were going wild at the pick and mix stall like kids in a candy shopāliterally! I thought I was prepared, kept my eyes peeled, and made sure they didnāt go overboard. But surprise, surprise! Our sweet stash came to a jaw-dropping Ā£17.70! š±

Sure, there were some big snakes and cola bottles in the mix, but Ā£17.70? That’s Ā£32.90 per kg! Just for comparison, a 175g bag of Haribo Tangfastics sets you back around Ā£1.20. In contrast, I felt like Iād just bought the golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s factory, except without the factory tour or everlasting gobstopper.
Letās face it, in the chaos of shopping with kids, we donāt always spot those tiny signs with prices. And once you’re at the till, the last thing you want is a meltdown by taking back sweets, leaving you to pay up and move on with a lighter wallet. šø
Apparently, Kingdom of Sweets defends their pricing as “competitiveā for a “premiumā experience. Still seems pretty steep when you’re just after a few gummy bears and cola bottles. š¤·āāļø
Next time, I might just stick to the supermarket shelves where prices donāt feel like a shock to the system! Will you be paying premium for your sugar fix? š¬
