🚗🛣️ Pothole Watch: Wales’ Road Recovery! 🛣️🚗

Did you know over 11,000 potholes were patched across Wales last year? New stats reveal that from April 2025 to January 2026, the Welsh Government put the pedal to the metal and made significant strides in mending our roads. 🌧️ The wet winter played havoc with the tarmac, causing headaches for drivers and cyclists alike.

From Carmarthenshire to Ceredigion, where 1,500 potholes were repaired per county, the battle against road craters continues. In contrast, Merthyr Tydfil needed the least attention with only 89 fixes. Across the nation, nearly 400 miles of road received a fresh makeover, keeping you cruising smoothly.
On the major motorways and A-roads, part of the Strategic Road Network, around 1,600 potholes were sorted, while 30,000 more were prevented, thanks to the Welsh Government’s local borrowing initiative. 🚧
Transport Secretary Ken Skates stated, “Fixing our roads is a priority.” Indeed, with over £81m spent on resurfacing since 2021, and projections hitting £118m by the end of this Senate term, progress is ongoing. 🛠️
Keep your tyres happy and your ride smooth by being vigilant on the roads. More updates are on the horizon, so stay tuned! 🌟
