Alongside Tomlin, a crew of associates played various roles in this covert operation. Louis Maxwell, closely linked with Tomlin, dealt in cocaine and cannabis, while Christopher Preston, 68, frequently transported the drugs. Ashley Coughlan, 42, was the designated driver for significant runs, and Ryan Battersby, 36, also played a crucial role in the drug deliveries.

Bradley Williams and David Gorman were key distributors, with Kory Preece, 25, actively involved in cannabis distribution. Even Jack Griffin, 21, was roped in, with deliveries to his home – all orchestrated smoothly until law enforcement stepped in.

Back in March, Maxwell was caught with substantial quantities of cocaine and cannabis in his car near Caldicot. Police surveillance further exposed regular trips made by gang members transporting drugs.

The operation’s magnitude was undeniable. Raids on two cannabis factories in Pontllanfraith and Trebanog revealed nearly 400 plants, a potential yield tipping between 10kg to 31kg!

After pleading guilty, Tomlin was handed a 10-year, 10-month sentence, while his associates received varying prison terms based on their involvement. This major bust highlights the relentless work of law enforcement in tackling organised crime and keeping our communities safe. 🕵️‍♂️🚓
