🌟 Exciting times for Welsh rugby as new talents emerge! 🌟

22-year-old Ryan Woodman, a dynamic force from the Dragons, is making waves and has caught the eye of national coach Steve Tandy. With Taine Plumtree sidelined, Woodman might soon join the Wales squad for this year’s Six Nations. Whether or not he gets the call-up now, many are confident he’ll be part of the team heading to Australia for next year’s World Cup!

“He is a talent and I have no doubt that he will be in the group that goes to the World Cup,” says Dragons defense coach Dale MacLeod. The focus is on nurturing this promising flanker who’s already had a taste of international training.
But Woodman’s not the only one to watch. Rhys Barratt, Cardiff’s impressive 24-year-old front-row, is a strong contender. Competing with seasoned props Rhys Carre and Nicky Smith, Barratt is making his mark after serving as a travelling reserve for Wales against Ireland last year.
Moving through the ranks, the second-row sees scarce competition. Yet Ben Carter’s recent performance stepping in for Adam Beard highlights the depth Wales is nurturing. The U20s duo Luke Evans and Osian Williams are also showing promise, potentially bolstering the second-row stocks.
Talents from the U20s Six Nations, like Tom Bowen and Deian Gwynne, are leaving us eagerly anticipating their futures. Bowen is attracting attention from top French clubs, while Gwynne’s standout performances are setting high expectations.
On the Bristol Bears side, Aidan Boshoff impressed as part of last year’s U20s team, with director Pat Lam praising his work-rate and fearlessness. Bryn Bradley, from Harlequins, is another gem, wowing both the Welsh and English set-ups with his performances.
What’s your take on these rising stars? Could they be our future champions on the world stage? Let’s keep an eye on these names, and perhaps one day, they’ll be heroes in rugby folklore! 🏉🇾🇪
