Unexplained Headaches Plagued Welsh Father for Two Decades Until Shocking Discovery Unveiled

Swansea dad Stuart Hill battled unexplained migraines for 20 years before doctors finally uncovered a shocking cause: a slow-growing brain tumour. At 62, Stuart was fit as a fiddle apart from his intermittent headaches and flashing lights. But everything changed on 15th April 2025, when he suddenly couldn’t speak or move his arms during a family gathering. An ambulance whisked him off to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where a CT scan revealed the surprising diagnosis.

Doctors found a meningioma, a type of tumour that had likely been with Stuart for quite some time. It wasn’t cancerous but still serious. With his speech fluttering between good and bad, doctors decided on surgery despite the risks. On 9th May, after a nerve-wracking seven-hour surgery, the tumour was completely removed.
