Described by her husband James as “quietly extraordinary,” Amelia’s spirit and warmth will be deeply missed. Beyond her classroom, she showed compassion by helping those less fortunate, buying food and drink for rough sleepers out of her own pocket.

Amelia, originally from Sheffield and a Nottingham University graduate, was diagnosed with autism two years before her passing. This diagnosis brought clarity to her feelings of not quite fitting in, yet she continued to give so much to others, even when life became challenging.

Tragically, Amelia passed away suddenly at home on March 4th. Despite immediate efforts from police and paramedics, her life couldn’t be saved. An inquest heard she had been facing personal challenges, including anxiety and depression.

Assistant coroner Angela Brocklehurst expressed condolences, describing Amelia as an exceptional lady who cared deeply for her students and their education.

The loss leaves a huge void in the lives of those who knew her. Amelia’s light may have dimmed, but her impact and warmth touched everyone she met. Rest in peace, Amelia.
