🎸 Serious Warning Following Iconic Welsh Festival! 🚨
Attention music lovers! A potentially dangerous bug outbreak has been traced back to the fantastic Big Tribute Festival held at Lovesgrove Farm, Aberystwyth this past August. 🎶
Public Health Wales has identified cases of O26 Shiga toxin-producing E.coli (STEC) among a small number of festival-goers. This nasty bug usually flares up as diarrhoea, stomach cramps, and fever. While the mystery source remains unsolved, it’s often passed through contaminated food, close person-to-person contact, or even interaction with infected animals.
In some cases, it can escalate into haemolytic uraemic syndrome (HUS), a severe and life-threatening condition leading to kidney failure.
Experts from Public Health Wales are teamed up with local health authorities to delve deeper into the case and ensure everyone’s safety.
Stay safe, stay informed, and always be cautious! 🙌 Keep an eye out for any symptoms and seek medical advice if needed. Let’s keep rocking safely! 🎤🎸
