🌞🔥 Wales is sizzling with another week of sun-soaked days as the heatwave continues! Temperatures have soared to a blistering 35C in some parts of south Wales and will stay in the 30s until midweek. ☀️
This is the third major heatwave in as many months, with June’s record-breaking temperatures still fresh in our minds. Though this one isn’t as humid, it’s certainly lasting longer, keeping us reaching for the sunscreen and water bottles! 🧴💧
According to the Met Office, expect plenty of sunshine, with highs around 30C–32C across England and Wales. 🌡️ But don’t pack away the brollies just yet—there’s a chance of thunderstorms later in the week. ⛈️
Most areas in Wales will stay hot, with the mercury not expected to dip below 24C until next Tuesday. So, while it might cool a little by the weekend, warm weather is here to stay for now. 🌤️
The heat brings a wildfire risk, too. A recent blaze in north Wales took over 30 hours to control. The National Fire Chiefs Council warns that it only takes a spark to ignite a wildfire. So, let’s be mindful outdoors—ensure cigarettes are fully extinguished and skip those disposable BBQs in parks and countryside. 🚫🔥
