🌺 Want your orchids to bloom time and time again? Here’s the secret! 🌼

Orchids, those stunning beauties you find at garden centres, can be a bit of a handful. But fear not! With just one simple tweak to your routine, you can make them flower throughout the year.

Step back a bit— orchids actually thrive when you leave them to their own devices! Overwatering and overfeeding are common pitfalls. Instead, water them every 7-10 days, reducing to every two weeks in winter. Let the pot drain fully to prevent dreaded root rot.

When feeding, go easy. A dash of orchid-specific fertiliser every three to four weeks in the growing season works wonders. Skip feeding during winter months to give them a rest.
To encourage another round of blooms, trim the flower spike only if it turns brown. Otherwise, cut back to the nearest visible node for a fresh burst of colour.
Light matters too! They love bright, indirect sunlight—think east or west-facing windows. Too much direct sun can scorch their leaves. Bathrooms are fab locations for these guys thanks to the added humidity.
Try it today, and watch those gorgeous flowers dance back to life! 🪴✨
