Exciting times for Cardiff as the new Willows High School begins to take shape! This state-of-the-art facility, set to open next summer, will be a game-changer for students and the community alike. With room for 900 pupils aged 11 to 16 and a specialised resource base for those with complex learning needs, the school promises to be a hub of inspiration and learning.
Head Teacher Chris Norman is thrilled about the move, saying, “This is more than just a new school building – it’s an investment in our young people and the community. The new Willows High will inspire pupils to reach their full potential.”
The multi-million-pound project features a sports hall, gym, drama studio, and grass pitches that will be available for community use after hours. Architects have prioritised sustainability, designing the building to net zero carbon standards. This isn’t just about new classrooms but creating a space where creativity and well-being are at the forefront.
