π₯ Urgent Alert: Wildfire on Welsh Mountain! π₯

A large wildfire has erupted near Llanbedr, Gwynedd, sweeping across the mountainside. The local fire service is on the scene, urging everyone to avoid the area and advising residents to keep windows and doors shut because of the heavy smoke.
The fire, which began on Sunday, is endangering local wildlife as well as homes and farms, so please stay cautious and informed.

Shell Island campsite and others in the area have put an immediate ban on campfires due to the dry conditions, ensuring everyone’s safety remains a top priority. They’re extending a massive thank you to the firefighting crews and local farmers, who are tackling the blaze with determination, using their own vehicles to help navigate challenging terrain.
There’s a growing call for aerial support as the fire continues to spread rapidly. Local figures are being urged to provide emergency funding to bring in helicopters for water drops, as ground resources alone can’t reach the blazing summit of Carreg y Saeth.
No rain is expected soon, so this fight may continue. Thoughts are with the affected wildlife and communities. Letβs hope for a swift resolution and stay safe out there! π
