π Breaking Boundaries in Drag! π

Meet Carrie Sauce, the Cardiff-based drag sensation who’s just made history by winning the second season of S4C’s Y Llais! Originally from Somerset, Carrie’s dazzling performances have captivated audiences and proven that dreams really do come true.
Inspired by classic camp icons like Marilyn Monroe, Carrie took the plunge into the Welsh drag scene three years ago. With a nudge from fellow drag superstar Liam J Edwards, Carrie decided to embrace the language and enter Y Llais. π³οΈβπ

Despite some pre-performance jitters and not being fluent in Welsh, Carrie’s powerful audition in the beautiful Welsh language blew the judges away. A stunning duet with the legendary Sir Bryn Terfel in the final sealed Carrie’s place in history as the first drag winner across all versions of The Voice worldwide. πβ¨
Carrie says, βIβm expecting a call from Guinness any day now! This is a huge milestone for the LGBTQIA+ community and for anyone learning Welsh.β
Carrie’s story is a testament to courage, passion, and the vibrant diversity of Welsh culture. Whether strutting the stage in drag or inspiring others to pick up the beautiful Welsh language, Carrie embodies the spirit of breaking norms and shattering ceilings.
As Pride season approaches, keep an eye out for more energetic performances in and out of drag. Carrie’s journey shows that when you go beyond expectations and follow your heart, incredible things happen.
Keep shining, Carrie! ππ #DragChampion #WelshPride #CarrieSauce #YLlaisWinner #Inspiration
