π Tough day for Cardiff Rugby fans! Cardiff suffered their toughest loss this season in the URC, falling 40-7 against the Bulls in Pretoria. It was a challenging night at Loftus Versfeld, as the Bulls ran in six tries, leaving Cardiff battling an uphill struggle throughout the match.

Despite the heavy defeat, there was a silver lining for Cardiff with the return of Wales legend Taulupe Faletau, who played his first game since January as a substitute. The Welsh side started strong, with Ben Thomas and Harri Millard linking up for a stunning early try, but that wasn’t enough to hold back a rampant Bulls side.

Mistakes proved costly, with Cardiff’s Alun Lawrence seeing yellow, leading to a pivotal Bulls try. With their powerful maul, the Bulls heaped pressure, with Marcell Coetzee and Johan Grobbelaar amongst the try-scorers, while Pollard and Kriel kept the scoreboard ticking with their boots.
The home fans were treated to impressive performances from the likes of Kurt-Lee Arendse, whose footwork and vision broke through Cardiff’s defences, setting up some sensational scores. A commanding 33-7 lead at half-time left the South Africans firmly in control. Despite some spirited moments and a nifty second-half kick from Ellis Bevan, Cardiff couldn’t claw their way back.
This was a tough challenge at altitude, but Cardiff will regroup, look ahead, and focus on learning from this experience. Hang in there Cardiff fans, itβs all about bouncing back stronger! πͺ #CardiffRugby #URC #RugbyFamily
