Sad news for aviation fans: the Red Arrows won’t be dazzling the Welsh skies this summer! The iconic jets have opted for a transatlantic tour instead, celebrating 250 years of American independence with displays across various US states, including Maryland and New York.

This means the Swansea Airshow, a major highlight for around 200,000 attendees each year, will miss out on the stunning aerial acrobatics of the Red Arrows. Traditionally, they soar over Wales from Exeter, offering keen spotters a thrilling sight as they zoom by.
One fan summed up the disappointment perfectly, saying, “Such a shame. There’s something quite magical about them, however many times you’ve seen them.” But don’t worry! If you’re up for a bit of travel, you can still catch the Red Arrows at the English Riviera Airshow, the Isle of Man TT Races, or the Clacton Airshow, among others.

Though they won’t grace our beloved Welsh skies, let’s wish them well on their American adventure. If you’ve got a craving for some Red Arrows action, why not plan a road trip to one of their UK performances? Keep your eyes peeled for their full schedule and save the dates. ✈️🇬🇧✨
