📚 **What’s Happening?**
In light of the blistering heat, schools in areas such as Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, and Merthyr Tydfil, among others, have announced closures. Some are closing early, while others are completely shutting their doors.
🏫 **Hot Spots & Cool Steps:**
– Many local councils are advising schools to take practical steps: encouraging hydration, utilising shaded spaces, and/or nixing school uniforms temporarily.
– Headteachers and governing bodies will decide school operations based on individual conditions.
👨👩👧👦 **Important for Parents:**
Keep an eye on your local council’s website for updates as some schools plan to decide on closures from day-to-day, considering the changing forecasts. Your child’s safety and comfort are of utmost importance.
💧 **Staying Cool:**
With temperatures soaring, remind your kids about the importance of sunscreen, staying hydrated, and taking it easy outdoors.
🌐 **Stay Informed:**
