🚗🔥 Leave your vape in the car? Think again! UK drivers are being warned not to leave their vapes inside parked cars, as the country braces for a sizzling heatwave with temperatures soaring to 30°C and beyond. Experts say that a vape battery left in a hot car could explode, turning your vehicle into a potential fire hazard and causing thousands of pounds in damages.

The interiors of parked cars can heat up rapidly, reaching temperatures 30°C to 40°C higher than outside. When a closed car is exposed to direct sunlight, it’s like a greenhouse, making conditions dangerous for vape batteries. Markus Lindblad from Haypp highlights that these batteries are sensitive and can swell or leak when exposed to extreme heat, possibly resulting in an explosion. Plus, a vape leak can leave your car sticky and may even irritate the skin.
If you accidentally leave your vape in a hot car, move it to a cool spot immediately. Never immerse an overheated vape in water; just let it cool naturally or wipe it with a damp cloth. Damaged vapes can have reduced performance and may void your insurance if they cause a fire.

It’s best to keep your vape at room temperature and out of your car altogether. If you must leave it behind, park in the shade or store it in the glove box away from sunlight to minimise risk. Stay cool and vape safe! 😎🌞
