🚗🌞 **Sunglasses Alert for Drivers!** 🌞🚗

Hey there, road warriors! As we drive through yet another sizzling UK summer, it’s more crucial than ever to pick the right pair of sunglasses for our journeys. The RAC is urging all drivers to be aware of the law regarding sunglasses as some shades might actually be illegal!

🔍 **What’s the Scoop?**
– **Category Concerns**: Sunglasses rated ‘Category Four’ could land you in hot water! These shades are too dark for driving, letting in very little daylight, and can impair your vision heavily.
– **Section 96 of the Road Traffic Act**: It says you must maintain a clear vision while driving. Offenders might face fines and even three penalty points on their licence!
– **Highway Code Rule 94**: Advises against using tinted glasses or lenses at night or in poor visibility if they limit your vision.
🕶️ **Choose Wisely**:
– **Category Three**: Best for daytime driving with great sun protection!
– **Category Two**: A good balance of glare reduction and visibility.
– **Category One**: Ideal for low sunlight but not the best when the sun’s blazing!
Harriet Hernando from RAC says, “Before hopping in your car, ensure your sunglasses are fit for driving—especially if they’re designed for extreme conditions like mountain climbing. Keep it safe and avoid those fines!”
Stay sharp and drive safe, folks! Make sure your eyewear doesn’t make your driving illegal. Got any questions? Drop them below! 🚘✨
