🚨 Breaking News Alert! 🚨

Plaid Cymru MP Liz Saville-Roberts has been found to have “inadvertently” breached Parliamentary rules, according to the standards watchdog. Daniel Greenberg from the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards opened an inquiry after a complaint about her failure to register donations within the required 28-day deadline.
Saville-Roberts reported 10 donations totalling £47,250 to support the Justice Unions Parliamentary Group, which she co-chairs, back in November last year. These donations were aimed at covering office administration costs and were not personal contributions to her.

After reviewing the case, Mr Greenberg concluded that the breach was accidental and resolved it through the rectification procedure. Saville-Roberts has accepted the findings and apologised for the oversight, stating it was an administrative error.
“I take my responsibilities under the code of conduct extremely seriously,” she said. “Transparency and accountability are essential, and I’m pleased this issue has been resolved.”
The MP has implemented additional safeguards to ensure timely registration of interests in the future.🔍
