🚗 Caerphilly is gearing up for a speed change! 🚗

Big news for drivers in Caerphilly as 20 roads are set to see their speed limits return to 30mph. After an extensive review prompted by 270 public comments, the local council is ready to make these changes but wants your final thoughts!

Remember when Wales introduced the 20mph default speed limit in September 2022? It stirred quite a debate, and now, after listening to public feedback, changes are on the horizon.

Here are a few of the roads where you can soon hit those higher speeds again:
– A stretch of A469 in Tirphil
– The B4251 through Brynawel
– A portion of B4254 between Penpedairheol and Gelligaer
– Bryn Road in Pontllanfraith
…and many more!
But before anything’s final, there’s one more chance to have your say. If you want to chip in, make sure to hit up Caerphilly County Borough Council with your thoughts before November 27th.
These changes highlight the importance of community voices in shaping policies—your feedback matters.
To share your opinions or raise any objections, send your comments directly to the council’s Legal Services via post or email. Don’t miss out on the chance to be heard and help shape the driving experience in Caerphilly.
Stay safe on the roads, and let’s keep the conversation going! 🛣️
