Oops! First Minister Eluned Morgan had a bit of a mix-up at a Labour rally on Barry Island. In a surprising slip, she urged the crowd to “vote Plaid Cymru” instead of Labour! Realising her blunder, she laughed it off, but not without causing a few chuckles in the crowd.

Despite the gaffe, Morgan was there to share some serious business – unveiling Labour’s manifesto costings and highlighting what the party plans to prioritise. Campaign finances are a hot topic right now, with Reform UK’s Dan Thomas challenging parties to be transparent on their spending plans during a recent TV debate. It seems like everyone in the audience raised their hands in agreement, clearly wanting those numbers out in the open!

Reform UK even dared other parties to release their figures by the next morning, promising to do the same if everyone else did. The Conservatives showed they’re game for transparency, but Lib Dem leader Jane Dodds wasn’t on board. Meanwhile, Plaid’s Rhun ap Iorwerth assured everyone their plans have been reviewed by an economist, though he didn’t commit to sharing details just yet.
In response, Eluned Morgan has taken action, writing to Plaid Cymru’s leader to urge him to release those numbers. It looks like the election excitement is heating up – and not just because of the occasional slip-up! What’s your take on all this? Share your thoughts! 🗳️🤔
