🌳 Neighbour’s Hedge a Bit Too High? 🌳

We all love our green spaces, but what happens when your neighbour’s hedge starts feeling like a forest encroaching on your personal space? It might be time for a light-hearted chat over the garden fence, but if that doesn’t do the trick, there’s actually a legal route you can take in Wales!

Under Part 8 of the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003, if you’ve tried everything to resolve the hedge issue amicably, you can approach your local council for help. This comes with a potential fee of up to £320, which is meant to make sure everyone’s tried their best to sort things out themselves first.
The council isn’t there to play mediator but will consider whether the hedge is impacting your enjoyment of your property. If they think it is, they’ll require your neighbour to trim it back to a more neighbourly height.
⏰ Don’t just sit in the shade—know your rights and enjoy your garden to the fullest! ✂️🌞
