Ospreys coach Mark Jones has weighed in on Wales captain Jac Morgan’s bold message to the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU). With ongoing talks about the future of professional teams in Wales, Morgan sent a clear message: if the Ospreys disappear, so does he!
Morgan, who’s been grabbing everyone’s attention as a standout British and Irish Lions player, is out of contract next summer. But Welsh rugby fans, fear not! The hope is strong that he’ll stay with the Ospreys.
“Jac’s integrity is off the charts,” says Jones. “He’s one honest lad who loves the Ospreys deeply. If he’s made those comments, it’s a testament to his loyalty.”
Morgan has also been named Welsh Rugby Writers Association Player of the Year for the second time in a row—talk about skills and leadership!
While Morgan won’t be tackling the Bulls in South Africa this weekend, his right-hand man, Dewi Lake, will lead the team. Morgan’s been on a globetrotting rugby adventure but is expected to rejoin his teammates soon.
