🏉✨ Welsh rugby is buzzing! 🏉✨ Jamie Roberts, the legendary centre, has named his favourite player, and it’s none other than Scarlets’ own Fletcher Anderson. This 23-year-old sensation from New Zealand has made waves in his debut season in Llanelli. 🌊
Anderson, despite being a newcomer, has quickly established himself as a powerhouse in the United Rugby Championship. With 166 carries and 488 metres gained, he’s a name you won’t forget anytime soon. 😲
Even during Scarlets’ recent 36-19 loss to Leinster, Anderson shone bright, standing out as the top tackler and a phenomenal carrier. Roberts praised him, saying, “Fletcher Anderson is my favourite player.” But, there’s a catch—Anderson isn’t eligible to play for Wales just yet. 🙃
Could he be the key to bolstering Wales’ line-up in the near future? He’ll have to wait until 2030 to qualify on residency grounds, but his impressive performance might tempt clubs from England, France, Japan, or even back home in New Zealand. 🌍
The Welsh Rugby Union is watching closely, and Anderson might just be the player to watch for future Welsh glory. Keep an eye out for him! 👀👏
