🏉 Big news in Welsh rugby! Two fresh faces are joining the Wales squad for the final autumn internationals! Centre Joe Roberts from Scarlets and Ospreys’ tighthead prop Ben Warren have been called up by Steve Tandy. 🇿🇦🖤
With 13 players unavailable for the match against South Africa, Roberts and Warren are stepping in. This weekend, they’ll also aid in the fight against the mighty New Zealand All Blacks. Roberts, given the centre shortage, might just find himself starting against the Springboks. Warren, though uncapped, has been pushing hard behind senior players in the pecking order.
The call-ups raise the squad to 41 players as preparations ramp up. Tandy’s selection highlights the challenge of players based outside Wales not being released by their clubs when needed. It’s crucial to have top talent playing domestically to gear up properly for international clashes.
Coming off the back of a tough 52-21 tumble against Argentina but bouncing back with a nail-biting win against Japan, Tandy’s team knows they need to significantly up their game for these final two power-packed matches. 🏆🔥
