🙌 An epic showdown at Sardis Road saw Bargoed RFC give it their all against a tough Merthyr RFC team in the Premiership Cup semi-final, with the match ending in a close 19-16 loss. While the squad’s determination and spirit on the field were widely celebrated, the club is dealing with a matter off the pitch that needs addressing.
Bargoed RFC has issued a heartfelt statement revealing that disrespectful comments were made by some individuals within the club towards senior team players. This isn’t the first incident, and the club is calling this behaviour out for what it is—unacceptable!
Praising their squad’s performance, Bargoed described the match as a thrilling community rugby showcase and reiterated their commitment to high standards. Their call to action is clear: uphold the values of Community, Excellence, Teamwork, Respect, and Friendship. The club firmly stated that anyone not adhering to these principles would face sanctions.
Let’s rally behind the team with positivity and respect, setting the standard both on and off the field. #SupportTheBoys đź’Ş
