🚨 Major Bust in Wrexham! 🚨

A 25-year-old woman has been nabbed in Wrexham in a massive crackdown on a human smuggling ring. This all unfolded in tandem with French authorities who also rounded up 16 suspects in the Paris area. This operation shines a light on an organised crime group allegedly ferrying Vietnamese migrants to the UK using lorries and boats.

The swoop in Wrexham wasn’t a lone effort. Simultaneously, a man the same age was arrested in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Meanwhile, in Birmingham, another suspect was caught, believed to have been providing accommodation for those on their way to the UK.

The joint UK-French operation even unearthed 41 migrants, with 11 of them found crammed into one address. It’s linked to a similar probe that saw five men charged earlier this year in the northwest.
Alex Cruise from the National Crime Agency praised the teamwork between nations, saying these arrests highlight the priority to crack down on dangerous border crossings. 🚢
These operations send a strong message: people smuggling won’t go unpunished. Let’s stand against these perilous journeys and keep border security robust. 🌍👮♀️
