When life gives you heartbreak, find purpose and saddle up for triumph! 🌟

Tony Barney, a hotel owner from North Wales, has turned tragedy into inspiration by purchasing two racehorses, Jango Baie and Jingko Blue, in memory of his late son James. On the anniversary of James’ passing, Tony bought these horses, who now share his son’s initials, at the Tattersalls sales. 🏇
Fast forward to today, Tony’s horses are set to compete at the prestigious Aintree’s Randox Grand National Festival, with Jango Baie taking aim at the Grade 1 Aintree Bowl this Thursday. 🤞

Interestingly, Jango Baie is no stranger to success. Coming off a stellar second place finish at the Cheltenham Gold Cup behind Gaelic Warrior, Tony isn’t backing down and believes this might just be their year! Jingko Blue isn’t lagging either, having snagged the BetMGM Cup at Cheltenham. 🏆
But the excitement doesn’t just stop on the track. Tony and his wife, Donna, are channelling their wins towards a greater cause, pledging £132,500 from their Gold Cup prize to charitable organisations. Among them is the James Barney Foundation, a charity they established in 2015 to help underprivileged children find opportunities in life. 🌍
Their hearts continue to pour love and purpose, moving from racing tracks to transforming lives. On April 26, an emotional ceremony will see the donation handed over at their hotel, coinciding with the opening of a new “Jockey Bar” dedicated to their son. 🌈
In Tony’s words: “We finished second, but it was as good as winning for us.” It’s not just about the race; it’s about cherishing memories and making a difference. It’s truly touching how passion for horse racing has brought this family solace and created a living legacy for James. ❤️
Here’s to Jango Baie, Jingko Blue, and the incredible journey that’s inspiring us all. Keep an eye on the Randox Grand National Festival – it’s sure to be a remarkable event! 🎉🏇 #GrandNational #FamilyLegacy #Inspiration
