👉 Here’s the scoop: Most pensioners will see £200 landing in their accounts, but if you were born before 22 September 1945, expect £300. Those in care homes born before this date will snag £150, or £100 if your birthday is between 22 September 1945 and 21 September 1959.
Last year, 1.3 million payments went out, but following a change, even more people are eligible this year! Initially, this was only for folks on Pension Credit or certain benefits. But now, pensioners in England and Wales with an income of £35,000 or less are in for future Winter Fuel Payments. 🙌 If your income’s higher, HMRC might adjust your tax code or Self Assessment for 2025/26 to reclaim it.
