Get ready for an exciting football clash as the Netherlands take on Japan this Sunday in their Group F opener! 🇳🇱⚽️🇯🇵 Both teams have a point to prove, with the Netherlands aiming to shake off a challenging recent performance and Japan hoping to make history with their best World Cup run yet.
After all, the Dutch have been heartbreakingly close in the past, being runners-up three times in World Cup finals. Recently, they’ve shown promise with a good run at the 2022 quarter-finals and 2024’s European Championships semi-finals. However, their recent form, including a tough loss to Algeria, leaves them looking to regain momentum.
Japan, on the other hand, is coming in strong—recently defeating England and looking confident despite missing Liverpool’s Wataru Endo due to injury. They’ve consistently reached the round of 16, and they’re aiming to go further this time.
So, when’s the match? Kick-off is at 9pm BST on Sunday, 14th June, at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Great news for UK fans—it’s being broadcast live and free-to-air on ITV1, with coverage starting at 8.15pm BST. Stream it on the go with ITVX on your devices.
