Leading the list of lower-rated seaside towns, Bangor received the least favourable feedback from visitors, followed by Barry Island, known for its connection to “Gavin & Stacey”. One visitor described Barry as “a bit tacky”, though others enjoy its lively atmosphere and sandy beaches. 🌅
Interestingly, Abersoch, often thought of as a millionaires’ getaway with its pricey beach huts and celebrity sightings, also scored on the lower side for factors like value for money. One visitor noted it’s great for people-watching and sailing, despite the hefty price tag. 🏖️💸
On the flip side, the picturesque village of Portmeirion earned the highest praise, with its Italian-inspired architecture and stunning seafront. St Davids in beautiful Pembrokeshire followed closely, with both places lauded for their scenery and attractions. 🏰🌿
