🔥 Drama at Wrexham! Director Shaun Harvey is fuming over rumours suggesting Phil Parkinson is on the chopping block. He called the claims “an absolute disgrace” and firmly shut down any gossip that the club’s been debating Parkinson’s future. Yes, Wrexham’s start to the season hasn’t been their best, with only 4 points from 5 matches, placing them precariously at 21st in the Championship. But Harvey is adamant: Parkinson’s job is NOT in jeopardy. 🌟
Even with over £30 million spent on a summer spree and 13 new faces in the squad, Wrexham’s finding it tough to hit their stride. The team triumphed only once against Millwall before the international break. The Hollywood charm of co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney remains supportive, expecting the team to bounce back and climb the table.
Harvey’s message is clear – Parkinson is still the man for the job. He’s already taken Wrexham to success with three consecutive promotions. So why panic now? Harvey’s ripping into the media speculation, saying, “It’s a disgrace. The discussions didn’t happen. Phil has our full support.” 🎤
Ryan Reynolds himself watched as Wrexham fell 3-1 to Queens Park Rangers, adding more heat to the fire. However, Harvey rubbished any suggestion that the co-owners discussed Parkinson’s future that day. “That’s some effort,” Harvey quipped, dismissing the rumours with disdain. 😤
As Wrexham brace for another tussle against Norwich this Saturday, Parkinson remains unfazed. He acknowledges the pressure and expectations at the club but believes with time, the new squad will gel and show their best. “There’s always been expectations here, and I can live with that, no problem,” Parkinson confidently stated.
So, Wrexham fans, buckle up! This season might have its ups and downs, but Harvey is certain: Wrexham’s leadership stands behind Parkinson 100%. 💪 Keep the faith, because this story isn’t over yet! #WrexhamAFC #PhilParkinson #RyanReynolds #FootballDrama
