🏉 Big News from the Welsh Rugby Union! 🏉

Even though Central Glamorgan Rugby Union (CGRU) has had their “voice heard” and wants to withdraw motions for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) says the EGM must still go ahead as planned.

Why the twist? 🤔 Although CGRU achieved their goals with the upcoming departures of WRU chairman Richard Collier-Keywood and former Professional Rugby Board chair Malcolm Wall, the WRU insists that the EGM is a “legal requirement” and not just an option. It’s set for 13th April at Principality Stadium and online.
The WRU intends to reach out to all 282 clubs to ask if they object to withdrawing the motions. If no objections arise, the motions will be pulled. But if any club objects, the EGM will kick off with a vote on that.
Regardless of the motion status, the EGM promises updates, presentations, and Q&A sessions with the WRU board. A pivotal moment for Welsh rugby! 🏟️
All clubs have until Friday, 10th April, to register their attendance—don’t miss out on this chance to shape the future of rugby in Wales! Get ready for a lively meeting with lots of insights and updates on where Welsh rugby is heading.
