🚒🔥 Dramatic Scenes in Port Talbot as Fire Sweeps Through School! 🔥🚒
A morning of drama unfolded in Port Talbot when a fire ignited at Awel Y Mor Primary School. As smoke and flames engulfed the building, brave staff from a Flying Start group at the Lots of Tots holiday club leapt into action, calmly evacuating toddlers to safety. 👶❤️
The fire broke out around 10am, prompting immediate response from multiple fire crews across the region, including those from Port Talbot, Neath, and Swansea. Intense flames were tackled using breathing apparatus, hoses, and even a turntable ladder, finally bringing the blaze under control by 12:45pm. 🚒👏
Due to the fire, the Lots of Tots holiday club will remain closed for the rest of the week, as the team assesses the damage and plans for the safe return of our little ones. A heartfelt thank you goes to the incredible staff for their swift, professional action in ensuring everyone’s safety. 🙌
