Exciting times ahead for Swansea as St Helen’s sports ground is set for a fantastic transformation! A whopping £5.1 million is being invested to create a new home for the Ospreys and Swansea RFC. This redevelopment promises a state-of-the-art facility with an all-weather pitch, new stands, and a fan zone ready just in time for the Ospreys’ first match this autumn.

The Ospreys, who previously played at Bridgend’s Brewery Field, are chipping in with £2.5 million and will be responsible for adding some temporary matchday perks like big screens. Swansea Council has worked tirelessly, securing a 50-year lease to guarantee the Ospreys have a solid future within Welsh rugby despite recent uncertainties.
Beyond professional rugby, this upgraded ground is set to become a hub for university, youth, and community rugby, with councillor Andrea Williams emphasising its benefits for future male and female players. Swansea RFC will also be returning, moving back from their temporary location in Dunvant.

With historical roots hosting international rugby and cricket, St Helen’s has plenty of stories to tell, and now it’s getting ready to make more memories. Swansea fans and sports enthusiasts, brace yourselves for an exciting new chapter! 🌟🏉💥
