🚨 Important Alert for Swansea Families! 🚨
Parents, there’s an important warning you need to know about if you’re in the Swansea area. Local Councillor Matthew Bailey has raised concerns following multiple reports of children falling ill after swimming in the River Tawe in Clydach. Several kids have experienced severe diarrhoea and vomiting, with some sadly needing hospital care.
Cllr Bailey stresses that while the warm weather might tempt kids to splash around in the river, it’s crucial to keep them away for now. His message is clear: “Please do not allow your children to go into the river.”
Natural Resources Wales and local authorities have been informed, and investigations are underway. Updates will be shared as soon as more information is available to ensure the safety of everyone.
Stay safe, keep an eye on your little ones, and let’s keep them out of the water until this is resolved. Share this message with other parents you know!
