A tale of obsession and deceit! Curtis Pring, 34, from Talbot Green, has landed himself in hot water after relentlessly stalking his ex-girlfriend and defrauding her of over £5,000. After promising to carry out home improvements, he took the money but either didn’t buy the materials or skimped with cheaper options.
When their on/off relationship ended in 2024, Pring’s behaviour took a worrying turn. His bizarre attempts at contact included sending unsolicited food deliveries to her house—imagine a surprise Taco Bell or pizza showing up at your door. Even after being blocked, he sent emails, texts, and even a four-page letter, vacillating between begging her to take him back and tearing apart her character.
At one point, a suspicious message from a cake and brownie company arrived, defending him, and it was believed to have been orchestrated by Pring himself. Desperation peaked when he was caught sitting in his car near her home. The victim, understandably shaken and anxious, had to adjust her daily routine just to feel safe.
The court heard how Pring tried to maintain contact through various means, including enlisting a neighbour to deliver one of his many letters. But justice prevailed. Pring has been handed a 15-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and must complete a 25-day rehabilitation programme, alongside paying back the money he wrongfully took.
