But after a family tragedy, Deb felt the pull towards a new mission. Inspired by the phenomenal care nurses give during life’s toughest times, she embarked on a completely new journey: adult nursing. With a background in social care, Deb always had a knack for helping others. Despite a bustling life managing successful eateries and raising three kids, she decided to pursue this new calling at Cardiff University. She shares, “We had three young children, busy lives, and I’d been away from education for a long time. But I knew that if I didn’t do it then, I’d probably never do it.”

Surprisingly, she finds the hospitality industry’s fast-paced nature is not so different from nursing—both require immense teamwork and quick thinking. 🌿👩‍⚕️

Though stepping back from the restaurant scene, Deb and Phil haven’t completely hung up their aprons yet. They still delight foodies with pop-up events like Nook by the River at Llandaff Rowing Club.

Deb’s journey is a touching reminder that it’s never too late to follow your heart and make a difference. 🌈👏 Share your support for Deb in the comments! 🌟 #Inspiration #CareerChange #Cardiff #NursingJourney
