Nicholas, now a teacher, recalls waking in Hereford Hospital, surrounded by nurses explaining his close brush with death. His parents, stuck in the 2007 summer floods, couldn’t even reach him immediately. Facing severe facial injuries, Nicholas fought his way back to good health, owing every step of his recovery to the charity that rescued him.

Determined to give back, Nicholas took on numerous challenges: cycling from Brecon to Cardiff, skydiving, bungee jumping, and biking from Cardiff to London. His latest mission? Tackling the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise even more for the lifesaving crew that changed his life.
