☀️🏖️ Bank Holiday Madness at Ogmore-by-Sea! 🚗🚫

The sunny weather had beach lovers flocking to Ogmore-by-Sea, but parking turned into a bit of a nightmare! With the beach car park jam-packed and nowhere else to go, many decided to park along the B4524, causing a bit of a kerfuffle.

South Wales Police were called in to clear the illegal parking that had blocked up the road on this scorching Bank Holiday Monday. 🚔 They even had to deal with some creative parkers who moved big stone boulders to secure a spot on the grass!
Local opinions were divided. Some folks were quite understanding of the police action, pointing out that the roads are “Clearways” for safety reasons. Others felt the enforcement was a bit harsh, suggesting that locals should expect a seaside rush when the sun’s out.
🏆 By the way, Monday was a record-breaker with temperatures hitting a sizzling 32.2°C at Hawarden Airport, marking the hottest May day ever in Wales! The heatwave brought crowds to beaches across South Wales, with Barry also seeing its busiest day ever. Businesses are now calling for more police presence on busy days to manage the crowds better.
