📸☀️ Sun’s Out, Fun’s Out! Wales Basks in Record-Breaking Heatwave! 🔥🏖️

It’s been an absolute scorcher across South Wales, with temperatures soaring to a record-breaking 32.9°C, making it the hottest May day ever recorded. And where did we all head? To the stunning beaches, of course!
Families, friends, beachgoers of all ages hit the sands, armed with sun hats, SPF, and a spirit of adventure. From Langland Bay’s surf-friendly waves to Porthcawl’s chilled vibes, it seems everyone had the same brilliant idea.

In Swansea’s Langland Bay, folks were spotted picnicking, taking refreshing dips in the sea, and even trying their hand at bodyboarding. 🏄♂️ Youngsters and the young-at-heart were also seen cooling off in Aberavon’s splash park, while others queued eagerly for a taste of iconic Welsh ice cream.
Over in Port Talbot, long lines formed outside Remo’s and Franco’s as people sought their seaside treats. And let’s not forget Porthcawl, where camping chairs dotted the sand, and seagulls cheekily eyed up chip dinners.
Whether it was catching some rays, enjoying a SUP paddle, or simply marvelling at the blue skies, these were the days that make unforgettable memories. A shoutout to the lifeguards keeping everyone safe while the rest of us soaked up the sun! 👏
Here’s to making the most of this unexpected but glorious May weather! 🌞🎉
