The long weekend and half-term haven’t provided consistent sunshine, but when those golden rays made their appearance, folks didn’t hesitate to seize the day. RNLI lifeguards were back on duty at Whitmore Bay, marking the unofficial start of beach season. They’ll be around every day starting late May, but for now, their Easter presence was a warm welcome.

As the sunny spell kicks off, Cardiff is set to enjoy temperatures reaching 21°C, and Swansea won’t be far behind with 19°C. However, this warm weather might be fleeting, so make the most of it before the chill returns for the weekend. Other parts of Wales are seeing cooler forecasts; Aberystwyth will have a foggy 16°C and Bangor a cloudy 17°C.
