Sad news, spud lovers! Tŷ Tatws, the cherished jacket potato café in Llandaff North, has closed its doors for good. After delighting our tastebuds with gourmet potato toppings since July 2025, the café made the “difficult decision” to shut down on 29th March.

Known for serving up delicious jacket potatoes with tantalising toppings like chicken caesar and beef chilli, Tŷ Tatws quickly became a local favourite. Diners loved the fluffy spuds and generous portions, not to mention the warm and welcoming service that made every visit a delight.

In a heartfelt farewell on Instagram, the team expressed their gratitude for the community’s support, sharing that the café had been much more than a business— it was a hub of laughter, conversation, and friendship.
Before the final farewell, diners were encouraged to pop by for one last coffee and a chat, reminding everyone that it’s not quite goodbye just yet. Tŷ Tatws received glowing reviews for its delectable offerings and brilliant service. One customer gushed about the “fabulous” caesar topping and perfectly buttery potatoes.
It’s always tough to see a local gem close, but Tŷ Tatws leaves behind delicious memories. Thank you for being part of our foodie journey, and here’s hoping for more tasty adventures ahead! Diolch, Tŷ Tatws! 🥔❤️
