π Heads up, Porthcawl! π

There’s a buzz going around town about some images claiming to show the future look of our beloved Porthcawl waterfront. These aren’t the real deal! π«πΌοΈ
Bridgend Council has clarified that the misleading CGI pics don’t match their vision for the major revamp happening at Salt Lake and the waterfront. If you’ve seen them, let’s just say they won’t be making the final cut. π¬β

The true transformation kicks off by March 2027, with plans for 1,100 new homes, fresh shops, delightful cafes, and tons of leisure attractions to spruce up our seaside experience! ποΈβπ‘
But what’s with the fakes? Apparently, these unofficial images have been stirring up some unnecessary drama. Councillor Neelo Farr assures us that official images, reflecting their ambitious plans, are on their way this autumn. ππΈ
Farr emphasised: “Don’t be fooled by what youβve seen so far. Our proposals are still being finalised, but they’ll bring much-needed new homes designed with everyone in mind.” π π
Remember, the council’s been actively consulting with us folks over the past five years, making sure the changes align with the area’s essence, including recent hits like the Metro Link and Cosy Corner updates. ππ
Yet, not everyone is convinced. Some locals feel prime seafront spots should reserve space for leisure ventures that benefit everyone. Concerns over roads, medical services, and existing sewage issues remain a hot topic among residents. ππ©Ίπ½
If you’ve got strong feelings or just curious about how things will pan out, keep your eyes peeled for the official reveal later this year. Big changes could be coming, and they promise to be worth the wait! πβ
Stay tuned, stay informed, and remember: not everything you see online is what you’ll get. Let’s keep Porthcawl real! ππ¬
